I bought 3 of these Kale & Herb strippers, 1 for myself and 2 for gifts. This design is very appealing and straight forward -- you move the stripper along the stem to remove the leaves. The other predominant style for leaf strippers require you to thread the stem through a hole and pull the stem through--hoping that the stem won't snap.I purchased my first stripper from Warehouse deals and it had a little blemish/scrape on the handle but no operational problem. I was surprised when I received the next 2 new items as there was absolutely no protective packaging. The card and thin plastic wrapping on the item aren't much protection, and there wasn't any padding around them in the shipping carton. Now I know why that first one was so banged up. So, if you order this item, check it over carefully (especially if it's going to be a gift).This strips my cilantro perfectly. It does not damage the leaves, and it pulls 99% of the leaves off of the stem. I like the bright color and the feel of the tool in my hand.The feature I love best is being able to change the 'notch size' quickly. Stem thickness varies from top to bottom, so to be able to quickly switch from one size to the next is a plus. Also, in the hand, it feels very much like using a knife; i.e. comfortable, known, doesn't feel foreign.Oh, and sometimes it works best to go 'backward' on some parts of a stem...so again, this design allows for that switch quickly & easily.Awesome little gadget for the kitchen. Separates kale leaves from the stem very nicely. You do have to use a little force but I was able to do it and I'm 63. It's a keeper!Took a second get a good technique so tore up my first kale leaf but after that - easy peasy!This handy product zips kale right off the stock with ease. It has saves time, mess, and frustration in the kitchen. Makes it super easy to add kale to my morning smoothie or throw together a quick salad without the bitter taste of the stock. The design fits well in your hand which makes it easy and comfortable to hold and use. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.I use this item to remove cilantro leaves from the stems. It has sure been a time saver for me.
